Context and identified issue:
In the daily operation of an industrial plant, the manual management of personal protective equipment and other critical supplies caused time losses, registration errors, material waste, and difficulties auditing stock. The lack of
real-time traceability made purchase planning and timely replenishment more complex.
Implemented solution:
A cross-platform application was developed tailored to the plant's operational logic, featuring an intuitive interface and real-time connectivity. Key functionalities include: Instant registration of inventory entries and withdrawals, batch
and expiration date control using the FIFO method, automatic low stock and expiration alerts, and exportable reports for internal and external audits. The system was designed to integrate with industrial safety processes, ensuring all personnel receive the required PPE, on time and in full.
Results achieved:
- Significant reduction in material losses and waste.
- 40% decrease in PPE delivery time.
- Improved inventory accuracy and purchase planning.
- Full compliance with internal protocols and applicable standards.
- Increased traceability and ease of audits.
Coordination and execution:
The development was carried out in coordination with the industrial safety, warehouse, and IT departments, ensuring the application met real operational needs. The implementation included staff training and support during the adoption
period, ensuring a smooth transition to the new digital tool.
